Race Summary

WIND ON THE HILL set the pace off the inside and stayed clear under steady urging. NEVER FORGET close up along the inside, dropped back leaving the turn, angled out once in the stretch and made a good late gain. HE'S A DIXIE BOY steadied in the initial quarter when in tight, recovered to race within striking distance, moved closest to the winner in midstretch but lodged only a mild late bid. SMOKE WARNING reserved early, made a good four wide move on the turn but could not sustain the bid. CHAFFEE JOHN angled in early when outrun, saved ground on the turn, angled out for the drive but could not threaten. EXPLOSIVE WARRIOR forwardly placed off the inside, tired. ACK MAGICAL reserved off the inside, could not menace. FORTUNE'S PRAISE steadied in the initial quarter when in tight, recovered to race within striking distance three wide, angled to the rail in midstretch and was in hand the final furlong.
