| Race Summary |
|---|
WESTERN OCALA went up early to press front-running MELISSA'S LUV SONG four wide,
took over in the upper stretch, kicked clear and was kept to her task. SWEET
BERNICE, well placed inside into the stretch, eased out three or four wide in
the late going and was second best. MELISSA'S LUV SONG gained the lead early,
made the pace to the stretch and weakened gradually. THREE MYSTERIES, never far
back, made a run four or five wide into the upper stretch but flattened out
late. LINNIE BELLE failed to rally in an even effort DIAMOND KITTY broke in
front, quickly settled, then had no rally. PEAKABOOHEATHER, bumped at the start
by GOLD SPOT and checked, raced in contention between horses four wide for a
half and tired. GOLD SPOT leaned in at the start bumping PEAKABOOHEATHER and
never menaced. COMIC VALENTINE, off the inside throughout, was outrun.
