Race Summary

DEPUTY SERVICE sprinted clear and angled to the rail on the first turn, widened on the final turn, continued to increase his advantage entering the stretch, was kept to steady pressure while well clear to the wire. WIN N GRIN broke slowly, trailed to the final turn, was five wide on the bend, finished willingly and bested the rest. OUR LEADING MAN raced well off the pace to the final turn and passed only tired foes. PANAGIS broke slowly, raced well back on the first turn, made a middle move outside rivals on the backstretch, chased the winner around the final turn, failed to sustain his run and gave way through the lane. RIM THE CUP was never a factor. WHOLELOTTASPIRIT was steadied while trying to get out a bit entering the first turn, raced in midpack on the backstretch, improved his position early on the final turn, failed to sustain his run and dropped back. MR. TIME COUNT chased the pacesetters racing three wide to the final turn, faltered. CASH TOWN chased the winner for the opening half mile before retreating. SYNHAWK raced close up from the rail early but was finished after a half mile and dropped back. JUST LIKE TODDY raced in midpack on the first turn before retreating.
