| Race Summary |
|---|
ART WORLD disputed the pace two wide, was collared between horses nearing the
quarter pole, shook off the challenge and opened clear entering the stretch, was
kept to task and widened through the drive. JUNE'S BEST was allowed to settle,
made a steady advanced circling five wide and was just up to earn the place.
BLUE SATIN SASH stalked the pace three deep, launched a bold bid four wide, drew
even with a quarter to run but failed to sustain the drive. EVEN TEMPO was
forwardly placed three wide, came five wide to make a mild bid but weakened in
the final furlong. CLASSIC EMILY was jostled at the start and slow into stride,
settled into stride tucked in along the rail, shifted out and advanced from
between horses, came three wide and improved her position. BELLAFINA angled in
to save ground, angled out entering the stretch and finished with a belated
gain. DEVIL'S LIL BIT settled in the second flight four wide and failed to
respond. DISPERSE was bumped at the start, ranged up between horses for a
contending position, but faltered leaving the turn and faded. VICK'S VIOLET
pressed the pace along the inside to the stretch and retreated. BETWEEN US
veered out at the start bumping DISPERSE, rushed up along the inside, but came
up empty after a half and dropped out.
